Charlotte Burke has been appointed VP global marketing and business development at Classwave Wireless Inc, Toronto. She brings more than 15 years of telecommunications experience to the emerging Bluetooth player with such companies as Bell Canada, Bell Mobility, Compaq Computer Corp and Sony Corp. Most recently, Burke was responsible for the development and marketing of enhanced high-speed DSL and wireless services at Bell Mobility. She has also held positions of director digital PCS at the mobility company and VP of mass market data/IP at Bell Canada. Burke was instrumental in securing several strategic partnerships with Microsoft, Phone.com, IBM, Lucent, Nortel Networks and others. In her new capacity, she will spearhead Classwave’s global marketing initiatives, while providing direction to the senior management team on how to best position the company to compete on a global scale.
