Canada’s wireless lobby releases blank media levy position statement

The Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) has outlined its case against proposed levies on blank audio media in a recently released position statement supporting the Canadian Private Copying Collective’s (CPCC) position that the levy shouldn’t be applied to wireless devices such as cell phones, PDAs or laptop computers. The CWTA submitted its statement of case to the Copyright Board of Canada on November 22.
