Joe Parent has been appointed VP marketing and business development at Vonage Canada, charged with building brand awareness, expand the company’s retail presence and solidifying its position as the Voice over IP provider of choice of Canadian consumers and small businesses. Parent joins the company from Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. Product and channel development, advertising, public relations, direct and interactive marketing, and customer communications all fall under his purview. Additionally, Vonage Canada has appointed Darrin Lamont as VP sales and customer operations. He brings a wealth of experience to the VoIP company having served in progressively senior positions at Sprint Canada, Bell Canada and GT Group Telecom.
