SilverBirch lands English-language Metin2 rights
Brief | March 9, 2007
SilverBirch Inc. has partnered with G4Box Inc. to operate an English-language version of Metin2, an online 3D fantasy computer game with more than 2.2 million players in Asia and Germany. The game is a leader in the massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) genre – a genre that is predicted to contribute the majority of growth between 2005 and 2011 in the worldwide online gaming market. "With our expertise in the MMORPG space, combined with SilverBirch’s talented software development team and Jambo’s cross-platform promotion capabilities, the Metin2 project is poised for success," said G4Box CEO Howard He, referencing SilverBirch’s acquisition of Jambo Mobile earlier this year. Following open-beta testing, the English version of Metin2 is expected to go live this summer.
