Life Network becomes Slice, ‘guilty pleasure’ content
Brief | March 16, 2007
A new year, and a new name for Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc.’s Life Network television channel. The new Slice will be aimed at female viewers and offer lifestyle programming with focus topics like family, fashion, relationships, celebrities, finance and gossip. "We’ve ensured that all programming found on the network meets one very important criterion – does it satisfy a ‘guilty pleasure?’" said Vanessa Case, Alliance Atlantis’ VP of content. One show that the network is considering a staple in its debut schedule is the new season of Project Catwalk, a UK-based reality show hosted by Kelly Osbourne that searches for the next big fashion designer.
