Brief | April 12, 2007
TransGaming Inc., an Ontario-based developer of software portability products for cross-platform gaming, has released Cedega 6.0 – the only commercial solution in the world that allows hundreds of triple A games to be played on the Linux operating system. This latest version will support popular PC titles like Bethesda Softworks LLC's Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Electronic Arts Inc.'s Battlefield 2142 and Madden 2007. It will also continue to support multiplayer online games like Blizzard Entertainment's World of WarCraft. "We've completed some very significant development with Cedega 6.0, introducing new technology and improvements to the existing engine," said Lucas Smithen, the company's Cedega product manager.
