Telus and Rogers on the move with fleet management
Brief | April 12, 2007
In a one-two marketing pitch to Canadian logistics companies, Telus Corp. and Rogers Communications Inc. are unveiling new fleet management products. Telus' Fleet Tracking Bundle includes a wireless data plan, GPS software, GPS hardware and an installation deal that has Best Buy Canada installing the equipment in vehicles. The system is meant to help small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) track their vehicles. Rogers' mFleet wireless asset tracking system is based on software from Burnaby BC's WebTech Wireless Inc. The package tells companies where their trucks are and how well they're running. It also provides automated driver timesheets and maintenance scheduling.
