Syscan granted RFID patent
Brief | April 20, 2007
The Canadian Patent Office has granted Syscan International Inc. a patent for its I Communicate Effectively (iCE) technology, a more efficient power consumption method of using RFID tag batteries. The company states in a news release that iCE-equipped readers can access tags that would normally be out of range by using other tags as bridges. "We are extremely please to possess this solid IP which will give us the opportunity to license iCE to other RFID solution providers working in non-competitive markets," Syscan president and CEO Axel Striefler said in a news release.
