Bragg to become largest indie cableco with planned Persona purchase

Two of Canada's larger independent cablesystems announced wedding plans last week. Halifax's Bragg Communications Inc. – best-known for its TV, telephony and broadband services sold under the Eastlink brand name – will acquire a presence out west with its agreement to purchase Persona Communications Corp., a St. John-based cable provider with customers not only in Newfoundland and Labrador but also in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
