People | May 17, 2007
The Television Bureau of Canada has appointed Theresa Treutler president, effective June 11. Treutler, who is currently senior VP media director at Doner Canada, will be replacing Jim Patterson who is retiring after 10 years as president of TVB. "Television is the most exciting and most engaging of all the media choices available to consumers and advertisers, and is adapting to the new realities of increased competition and deluge of new technologies," said Treutler in a news release. "I look forward to working with my TVB members and their customers to ensure their best-possible media choice continues to develop in-sync with their needs." Working on behalf of its members – Canadian television stations, networks, specialty services and their sales representatives – TVB markets the benefits, values and effectiveness of the TV medium to advertisers and agencies.
