Brief | September 4, 2007
Quebec-based Datacom Wireless Corp. has finalized the acquisition of Vigil Locating Systems Technologies Inc. from its parent company Vigil Locating Systems Corp. Datacom acquires customers in the commercial and consumer markets, a high-end GPS technological platform and remote surveillance software that performs well against the competition in the tracking and theft prevention field. Datacom will also gain approximately $75,000 in monthly revenue as a result of the acquisition. "This acquisition increases Datacom's access to new markets, broadens its product and service offering and strengthens its distribution network by adding sixty retail locations," president and CEO Pierre Collins said in a statement.
