The need for skilled IT staff remains stable despite the current economic crisis, according to a new survey commissioned by the Robert Half Technology IT Hiring Index and Skills Report. The survey of more than 270 CIOs from companies across Canada with 100 or more employees found that 21% plan to expand their IT departments in the first quarter of 2009 and 4% expect staff cutbacks.
