Copyright Board denies SOCAN interim tariff request

The Copyright Board issued a decision Friday that denied a request from the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) for an “interim” tariff permitting the collection of royalties from online streaming services like YouTube and Netflix.
