CRTC closes utilities’ MVNO application, citing wireless review

The CRTC has shut down a request by the Canadian Electricity Association asking it to allow electrical utilities to become “private” mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) to help with smart-grid deployment, and is telling the country’s electrical utilities to wait until next year’s wireless review before making that ask.
