New Broadcast Act should ‘unambiguously exclude’ OTT: Netflix

Netflix Inc. is defending against calls to rope foreign over-the-top players into Canada’s broadcasting framework — which could require the company to abide by CanCon quotas, fund Canadian programming through CMF contributions or artificially weigh their algorithms to make Canadian programming more prominent.
