263 area code coming to Montreal next year

Montreal will be getting a third area code within the next year, the CRTC said in a Monday decision. The commission agreed that the threat of exhaustion of the 438 and 514 codes necessitated the adoption of the 263 code as of Oct. 22, 2022.
