CRTC makes Bell AI call blocking permanent, declines to establish regulatory framework

The CRTC has given approval to BCE Inc. to make permanent a call blocking system it has trialled for a year, over the objections of some interveners who cited a concern about the company’s use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the scheme.
