Rogers closes Ottawa news station, returns licence to CRTC

Rogers Communications Inc. has shuttered its all-news station in the nation’s capital and laid off all its employees. CKOY-AM was known as CityNews Ottawa. There were fewer than 10 people on staff. The station went dark at 1 p.m. Thursday.
