Champagne says planned telecom price hikes go against policy direction

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry is calling on Canadian wireless companies to abandon plans to increase their rates. François-Philippe Champagne released a statement to The Wire Report that noted while some progress has been made in lowering cell prices, Canadians pay too much and there is not enough competition in the marketplace.
