CRTC, St-Onge highlight Bell’s profitability in response to 4.8K job cut, CTV and radio closures

BCE Inc. announced Thursday that it will be restructuring by eliminating 4,800 positions, divesting more than 40 per cent of its radio stations, cutting CTV newscasts, and shifting away from the “overly regulated” parts of its business due to several factors among which is an “unsupportive government and regulatory decisions.”
