Streamers take CRTC to court over Online Streaming Act payment requirements

Apple Inc., Amazon.com, Inc., and the Motion Picture Association-Canada (MPA-Canada) are taking the CRTC to court over various regulatory decisions under the Online Streaming Act requiring foreign streamers to pay into Canada’s broadcasting system.
